Hey There! I’m Rachael Burris

Chef | Meal Prep Specialist | Flavor Enthusiast | Age 35
Miami-based chef who believes food should be both joyful and effortless.
My Story
Food has always been the language I speak best. Growing up, I was the kid who spent more time in the kitchen than anywhere else, fascinated by how simple ingredients could transform into comfort, connection, and celebration. As I got older, life became busier, balancing work, family, and wellness goals, and I noticed just how often good food got pushed aside for quick fixes.
That’s when I realized: meal prep isn’t just about saving time. It’s about setting yourself up for success, nourishing your body consistently, and still enjoying every bite. My passion turned into a mission to help people simplify healthy eating without sacrificing flavor.
The Turning Point
A few years ago, I hit a wall. I was working long chef shifts, coming home exhausted, and still scrambling to figure out what to eat. I remember one night staring at my fridge, half-empty, chaotic, nothing inspiring, and realizing I was too tired to cook. That’s when I ordered fast food, again, and felt that deep frustration that comes with knowing I wasn’t practicing what I preached.
The next morning, I pulled out a notebook and mapped out a full week of meals, prepped everything in advance, and felt a new sense of freedom. That shift changed my life. I had more energy, less stress, and food I was actually excited to eat waiting for me. That’s when I knew I needed to share this with others.
What I Learned the Hard Way
I used to think meal prep meant boring, repetitive meals in plastic containers. I tried it, and I hated it. The food lost flavor, I got tired of eating the same thing every day, and I ended up wasting food instead of saving it.
I learned the hard way that meal prep only works when it’s flexible, flavorful, and fits your lifestyle. It took a lot of trial and error, wasted groceries, and overcomplicated plans before I developed a system that actually works long-term.
My Approach Now
Today, my philosophy is simple: meal prep should feel like freedom, not a chore. I design recipes that are quick to prepare, stay fresh throughout the week, and bring excitement to the table.
Instead of rigid rules, I teach people how to build a meal prep system that adapts whether you’re cooking for one, feeding a family, or balancing a busy career. My approach blends chef-quality flavor with real-life practicality.
What I Believe
- Meal prep should save time and spark joy
- Food is medicine, but it should also be indulgence
- Balance matters more than perfection
- Simple systems lead to long-lasting results
- Cooking at home is one of the most powerful wellness tools we have
